After graduating from CMCC in 1984, Dr. Simonsen returned to Denmark until 1985, receiving her license to practice there, then returning toToronto to open Annex Clinic with Dr. Chiu in 1986. She trained in Craniosacral therapy and Visceral Manipulation through the Upledger Institute, including special training in craniosacral therapy for infants and children. She has been on faculty at CMCC since 1987, in 2013 authoring Orthopaedic Examinations for Extremities and TMJ. She joined the CTCMPAO when acupuncture became regulated in Ontario in 2013. Throughout, Dr. Simonsen has maintained an interest in nutritional effects on health and disease.

Dr. Chiu opened Annex Clinic with Dr. Simonsen in 1986. Graduating from the Canadian Chiropractic Memorial College (CMCC) in 1984, Dr. Chiu studied Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong and China. He taught Acupuncture at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine for 16 years, and has been on faculty at CMCC since 1993. Dr. Chiu has been President of the Acupuncture Council of Ontario (ACO) since being elected in 1995, joined the CTCMPAO in 2013, and served as a consultant in acupuncture for the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOLHLTC) and for the U of T /Scarborough Hospital Centre for Integrated Medicine.
Erin received her license to practice Massage Therapy in 1991. Since then she has worked primarily in medical settings, gaining 28 years of experience treating painful muscular complaints as well as providing restorative massage for relaxation. Erin served as an oral practical examiner and content consultant for the science exams with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario for 10 years between 1993 - 2003. Her work integrates a range of effective manual skills from soothing rhythmic techniques to firm or deep, brisk or slow mechanical techniques that directly manipulate muscle and connective tissue (fascia). Erin works with each client to propose a treatment plan that addresses their goals in the short and long term.
